There are gangs that specifically focus on the theft of valuable tools for a number of reasons, namely, that they are relatively easy to sell on, and unfortunately due to the carelessness of many traders, they can be easy to steal. Once sold on, for a fraction of their original value, the thief will simply move on to the next easy target and the cycle continues. Crime Response Team have spoken to traders who have had their tools stolen several times in a year, and it is amazing just how many traders are still not doing all they can to prevent this.
